The Southside Restaurant & Bar is located on the south-east corner of Lonsdale & Spadina Roads.

Proprietor Matthew Schein also operates the Hope Street Cafe, a neighborhood staple, directly across the street. Schein has transformed this historic corner from a bakery into an elegant dining room with a comfortable yet contemporary feel. Schein did much of the design work himself, and his attention to detail is reflected both in the dining room and on the menu.

The South Side is a destination for out of town visitors, neighborhood regulars, celebrities and business professionals alike. The South Side's intimate dining room is perfect to celebrate any occasion and also features a beautiful street-side terrace.

The South Side is open for lunch, weekend brunch, and dinner with a bar that stays open until the early morning hours. The South Side's menu features a small number of carefully selected and fresh dishes which change regularly with the seasons.
